On the Bohle River

Pronounced "Bowl-ee", we access this river from the Stoney Creek Boat Ramp which is about 2ks from our home.  Here's a few photos taken on the river.

This is Stoney Ck, 6 knots/no wash.  It takes about 5 mins to reach the river.

Welcome to the Bohle River which is about 25% the width of the Shoalhaven River. We're experiencing 2.5 - 3 metre changes between low and high tides, so it's a matter of sticking to the channel or risk running into obstacles when the tide is at its lowest. This photo was taken heading towards the mouth of the river midway on the incoming tide. You can see the river bank in the distance . . . it was underwater when we headed back up the river only 3 hours later.

Pitstop at the wheel . . . she's already tanning up nicely.

The 50hp Mercury is plenty big enough!!  It gets the boat up onto its plane effortlessly.
And it even starts better now that we have tightened both battery terminal leads . . .
